Migration and support of the e-commerce sites dedicated to professional literature

Business purpose

The customer had a series of e-commerce sites for selling professional literature, books and magazines. The goal was to migrate the platform with the help of new technologies and to integrate some additional functionality.

PRESTASHOP MIGRATION

  • First, the team upgraded three sites to Prestashop version 1.6.1.24, then to version 1.7.6.1.
  • On the second stage of the project, the team worked on the scope of tasks related to functionality changes and improvements. The user account became easier to use, some new buttons were added to simplify the redirections path.

MAGENTO MIGRATION

  • Two online shops of the customer had to be migrated from Magento 1 to Magento 2. The team migrated the data and created sites based on new mock-ups provided by the customer, and also transferred and reworked the sites’ functional parts.

PLATFORM SUPPORT ON SYMPHONY

  • The team worked on bug fixing and support of the customer’s platforms. They were subscription-based and allowed the customers to follow the updates regarding legal regulations.
