We are looking for an AWS Solutions Architect to join our architecture team.

About us

  • On the market since 2002;
  • Operational departments and development hubs worldwide.

Project description

We are an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner. We are looking for a part-time AWS Solutions Architect to own the assessment and planning phase of cloud migration projects. Typically from Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud to AWS. You will lead discovery, analyze the client's current environment, design the target AWS architecture, and package everything into deliverables the client signs off on: migration plan, estimates, TCO, and scope of work. This is an advisory, client-facing role. Implementation is fully owned by delivery teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing solutions on AWS; proven track record of migration assessments or presales architecture work.
  • Breadth across core AWS services: compute (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda), storage (S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier), databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache), networking and edge (VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway), security (IAM, WAF, Secrets Manager, Security Hub), observability (CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
  • Working knowledge of Azure/GCP/OVH/Scaleway/DO sufficient for accurate service mapping and estimation.
  • Familiarity with AWS migration tooling and methodology: Migration Evaluator, Migration Hub, MGN, DMS, AWS Cloud Adoption Framework; experience with AWS MAP (Migration Acceleration Program) assessments is a strong advantage.
  • Confident cost modeling: AWS Pricing Calculator, TCO analysis.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code approaches (Terraform, CloudFormation) at the design and estimation level.
  • Excellent client-facing skills: workshop facilitation, presentations, high-quality written deliverables.
  • Fluent English and Spanish are mandatory as the primary working language with clients.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience producing MAP-compliant artifacts (MRA, Mobilize plans) for AWS-funded engagements.
  • Exposure to AWS GenAI services (Bedrock, SageMaker) enough to support advisory conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Run discovery sessions with clients: business requirements, constraints, migration drivers, success criteria.
  • Analyze current infrastructure and applications (Azure / GCP / on-premises): inventory, dependencies, migration readiness.
  • Map existing resources to appropriate AWS services and design the target architecture following the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Produce assessment deliverables: architecture diagrams, migration plans (MPP), effort estimates, TCO calculations, scope of work documents (SOW).
  • Present assessment results and proposals to client stakeholders. Both technical and business audiences.
  • Audit existing AWS environments and deliver improvement recommendations (Well-Architected Review format).
  • Define scope, architecture, and success criteria for POCs (execution handled by the delivery team).
  • Address compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.) at the architecture and planning level.
  • Hand over the assessment package to the implementation team; remain available for architectural clarifications in an advisory capacity.

We offer

  • Part-time, approx. 50% load (~20 hours/week on average); workload follows the presales and discovery cycle and varies between engagements.
  • Remote, with client workshops held online.
  • Contract / hourly-based engagement possible.
  • Working on exciting projects in international team of professionals.
  • Opportunities for learning and practicing new technologies, internal training.
  • Participating in inner meetups and permanent experience exchange with colleagues.
  • Well-defined development processes and methodologies.
