We invite a Senior SRE / Observability Engineer to join our team.
About us
- On the market since 2002;
- Operational departments and development hubs worldwide.
Project description
The project is a digital MedTech service bringing outstanding innovations to cardiologists, thanks to Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. His leading cardiac remote monitoring platform makes it far easier to manage data and predict patient issues, so cardiologists can bring the best care at the best time.
You’ll join the Infra/Platform team. The team owns the entire infrastructure and the stability of the platform (~80 Node.js microservices per region, production in the EU and the US). Team works in Kanban, with a quarterly view on the projects other teams bring us, a daily stand-up and weekly 1:1s.
Project's observability now runs on the Grafana Cloud stack. The next step is to make it truly useful: rebuilding our alerting and on-call practices, and opening telemetry to the rest of the tech teams. In parallel, AI has become part of how the project operate, from AI-assisted incident investigation to agents plugged into tooling.
We are looking for a senior SRE who can take ownership of observability quickly and help project push AI further into day-to-day operations. The team is mostly based in France: being based in Latin America, you’ll also strengthen our coverage during US business hours, when US production is busiest and the French team is offline.
Technical stack
- Observability: Grafana Cloud, Prometheus / Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Pyroscope, Grafana Alloy,OpenTelemetry
- Cloud & containers: AWS, Kubernetes, Helm
- IaC & delivery: Terraform, GitLab CI, Flux (GitOps), HashiCorp Vault
- Services: ~80 Node.js microservices per region, EU + US production
Requirements
- Location: Brazil
- English: Fluent dialogs
- Senior-level SRE / Platform / DevOps experience
- Strong Grafana + Prometheus observability experience
- Kubernetes
- Terraform + AWS
- SLOs / alerting / incident management / on-call
- OpenTelemetry / logs / traces
- Experience using or integrating AI tools in engineering / operations workflows
- Experience with AI-assisted incident investigation, log/trace analysis, alert triage or automation
- Experience integrating engineering tools through APIs or MCP
- Understanding of secure AI tooling in environments with sensitive data
- Experience with observability, access control, secrets or cost tracking for AI-enabled services
Responsibilities
- Own our observability platform on Grafana Cloud: metrics (Prometheus), logs (Loki), traces(Tempo), profiling (Pyroscope), collected with Grafana Alloy on Kubernetes
- Design meaningful alerting: SLOs, actionable alerts, runbooks, and clean routing to our on-call
- Manage observability as code (Terraform for Grafana resources, alert rules, recording rules)
- Keep telemetry volume, cardinality and costs under control across environments, with no patientdata leaking into logs (HDS / HIPAA)
- Help developers instrument their services (OpenTelemetry, structured logs, traces) and get valuefrom the data
- Build and improve AI-assisted workflows for the team: incident investigation, log/trace analysis, alert triage, automation
- Integrate AI tooling with our platform (e.g. MCP servers for Grafana and GitLab, coding agents)securely, in line with our healthcare compliance constraints (HDS / HIPAA)
- Support the team on infrastructure topics related to AI features (observability of AI services, costtracking, access and secrets)
- Take part in run activities and on-call, with a focus on US business hours; handle incidents and drive post-incident improvements
- Contribute to our infrastructure as code (Terraform on AWS), CI/CD (GitLab CI) and Kubernetesclusters
- Act as a technical reference for other teams on monitoring, alerting and reliability
